Note to Data Users – Affects Detailed Tables 3, 8 and 9
The first quarter 2014 data was released on April 29, 2014 with incorrect category labels, rental and homeowner vacancy rates and percent distributions by the characteristic 'year built.' Three of the nine data collection categories used from January 2004 through December 2013 were updated in January 2014. Due to a processing error, the labels and data in detailed tables 3, 8 and 9 did not reflect the change in data collection. There was also a problem with how the data were collected for 'year built', which is being investigated. The 'year built' sections of these tables have been removed until subject matter experts and research methodology staff can evaluate the error and form a solution.
